Dorothy Louise (Beyler), Ringer, Morgan passed away December 7, 2023, in Carmel, Indiana.
Dorothy was born May 13, 1933, in Plymouth, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil and Wilma Beyler. She was raised on a gladiola farm and was a 1951 graduate of Plymouth High School.
Dorothy was married to Rollo Glenn Ringer from 12/24/1952 until his untimely passing on 1/22/1972. She then married Daren Duane Morgan of Plymouth Indiana (4/20/1974) and, after calling the Plymouth community home for their entire lives, has most recently lived with him at Sunrise on Old Meridian in Carmel, Indiana for the past 3 years.
Dorothy and Rollo had four children, Dawn (1954), Timm (1955), Jayna (1956), and Jon (1957-2018). When Dorothy married Daren, Dorothy embraced Daren’s daughter, Kris (1953) into her life.
During her lifetime Dorothy was employed at Pilgrim Manor where she served as a Utilization Coordinator. Subsequently, she moved her employment to St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, Indiana where she worked in the Utilization Review department.
Dorothy was very involved at the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, Indiana where she was a faithful member of the chancel choir as well as an Adult Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study leader for many years.
Dorothy had a love for oil painting, spending many hours in the study of light, composition, and nature. Her greatest joy was capturing the “essense” of a person through portrait painting. Some of her greatest works, however, were captured in her paintings of gardens, flowers, and landscapes. Dorothy was a member of the Heartland Artist Gallery in Plymouth Indiana and participated in displaying her oil paintings in several art shows.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Dawn (Lance) Bultena; son Timm (Diane) Ringer; daughter Jayna (Stephen) Beutler; daughter-in-law Tammy Ringer (Jon); step-daughter Kris (Kirk) White; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband, Daren Morgan, sister Eileen Cook, sister-in-law Delores (Ray) Beyler, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rollo Ringer; her parents, Cecil and Wilma Beyler, brother Ray Beyler; sister Elna Defur, and her son, Jon Ringer.

My sincerest sympathy goes out to the family. Aunt Dot was the most beautiful woman inside and out. I have such wonderful memories of her. She tried to teach me to paint artistically as a child, but I just didn’t have even the tiniest bit of her talent. I will always carry her love in my heart.

Deana Ringer Gallagher-daughter-in-law says
Dorothy was a giver in many aspects of her life. She loved each of her children and in-laws. She looked forward to having family come visit throughout the holidays each month and years. Many memories included Harvest, Thanksgiving and Christmas besides family reunions. During the Harvest, the family gathered in the woods and sang songs around the bonfire; ate chili, cornbread and many different types of desserts each family contributed to the meal. Some of the kids played in the woods but would quickly get back to the warmth of the bonfire.
Mom was gifted with a fresh turkey from our family farm each year. The whole family would travel to arrive at the home of Mom and Daren with many different kinds of foods and desserts for that special meal and fellowship . After the dinner, Timm & Jon would go hunting as a tradition the two of them would do together. The grandchildren would play outside or other games together. Some would even watch the parade and football games as well.
Christmas was another eventful occasion. A big dinner of lasagna and all the fixings that went along this amazing delightful holiday in celebration of Christ’s birth. We would gather around the piano and sing Christmas carols. Many times we would have late arrivals due to snowy weather conditions but everyone was happy to enjoy the generous hospitality of Mom and Daren.
Love you Mom – Love Deana

Dawn and your family, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember Dorothy as such a vibrant woman who enjoyed many talents. I am thinking of, and praying for you, especially, through this time. I wanted to make the visitation, but it couldn’t be arranged. I’m caregiver for my parents. Yes, both are still living at home, but Dad had a stroke and is confined to his hospital bed. Mom is getting weaker, too, but gets around with a rollator. Love you.
