Marsha K. Wainscott, 68, went to be with the lord on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was born to Rev. William Wainscott and Mary (Edwards) Wainscott on August 31, 1955 in La Porte, IN.
Marsha dedicated her life to helping others. She worked in various roles over the years including being a respiratory therapist and a coordinator at St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth, and an EMT/Paramedic with Plymouth Fire from January 1999 to June 2017 – including serving as Chief EMS Coordinator and training others in EMT/Paramedic and CPR certifications. She often read various medical journals and continuously received additional medical training.
She had a lifelong commitment to furthering her education. She received her bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and music. She became ordained and served as a pastor at the New Vision Church which was located on Thayer Street in Plymouth. Most recently, she attended New Song Church. Marsha also sang with a religious group called Daybreak Joy. After being heard by a recording artist, Marsha was invited to Nashville to record her own album. In addition to singing, she was able to play any instrument and if she didn’t know how she would learn. She also enjoyed umpiring baseball and softball in her free time and riding her scooter to the fire station.
Marsha was known for her fun-loving, prankster personality. While she could be stubborn at times, she would give anyone the shirt off her back. As her family grew older, Marsha welcomed them into her home so she could care for them during their final months and days. She had such a kind, giving heart that will be remembered dearly by her family.
Marsha is survived by her brother, Gene (Nancy) Wainscott; along with nieces and nephews, Mark Wainscott, Shelly Ferrari, Eric Wainscott, Kelly Kanar, Brent Wainscott, Camerun Wainscott, Scott Weaver, and Kim Weaver; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willliam and Mary; and brothers, Phillip and Don Wainscott.

Marsha was an early piano student in my Music Studio. I remember working with her in the music area. Seeing her obituary in the Pilot News was a concern.
The world was better with Marsha being with us.
