Marshall B. Olsen, 67 of Plymouth, Indiana passed away at 3:27 pm Friday, December 15, 2023, in Center for Hospice, Mishawaka.
On August 10, 1956, he was born in Bremen to Jim and Helen (Davenport) Olsen. After moving to Plymouth, he was united in marriage to Lori Paledino on October 26, 1979, who survives.
Marshall was raised in LaPaz and was a graduate of LaVille High School, Class of 1974, where he played football and was a member of the golf team. He retired from Bomarko in May of 2023 after 40 plus years of service.
He was a member of Potato Creek Bass Club for several years with his brother and friends from 1988 – 1993. He enjoyed ice fishing at the local lakes and his friend’s family pond. He also enjoyed vacationing in Hayward, Wisconsin and Duluth, Michigan for fishing and weekend trips, with his brother, to Cadillac, Michigan to ice fish. He was also a member of Woodburn Golf Resort.
Marshall enjoyed watching his nephews play sports at LaVille High School and softball games with his granddaughter, Mackenzie, who was a high lite in his life. He also took a trip to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to visit Mackenzie’s choice of colleges. Marshall also looked forward to the Blueberry Festival, so he could spend time with his friends and family.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 44 wonderful years, Lori Olsen, Plymouth; son, Matthew (Jenn) Olsen, Papillion, Nebraska; daughter, Amy Olsen, Plymouth; two grandchildren Austin Olsen and Mackenzie Dohner; brother, Jim (Jennie) Olsen and sister, Cheryl Kling. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and one great nephew.
He is preceded by his parents, Jim and Helen Olsen and grandparents, Bert and Marie Olsen and Roland and Cecil Davenport.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana.
